The goal of the course is to help the student to analyze one’s own coaching and facilitation abilities and development areas. The course offers basic of coaching as an outlook on work and as an interaction skill, and, relevance of facilitation and utilization as a tool for decision-making, co-creation and communal learning. Learning takes place in workshops, as independent studies and team work. The course includes coaching workshops, peer-coaching sessions and facilitation exercises. The course includes compulsory assessment of one’s own learning.
Choose at least one book of coaching and one book of facilitation, which you read during the course. You are expected to use these two books in assignments, too. Examples of good books are as follows:

We have three assignments, which you are expected to return by the deadlines. In order to attend the course, please return the pre-assignment on October 26th 2021 at the latest. In order to pass the course, all of the assignments have to receive passed grade (i.e., 1-5). Assignments are as follows:
Assignment 1 (pre-assignment), 20 % of the course grade, return on 26.10.2021 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the assignment is to present yourself to the teacher and to evaluate your current coaching and/or facilitator experience/know-how/competence.
Assignment 2 (coaching), 40 % of the course grade, return on 23.11.2021 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the assignment is to coach another student in three separate sessions and analyze own coaching. Separate instructions will be given.
Assignment 3 (facilitation), 40 % of the course grade, return on 30.11.2021 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the assignment is to plan a facilitated workshop and to document the plan. Separate instructions will be given.
Descriptions of the assignments will be published by October 18th 2021 in the course site in Moodle.
Please notice that weekly meetings include smaller tasks and practices. Compulsory self-assessment of one’s own learning is not graded but it will be done in coaching and facilitation workshop meetings.

Re-think the message concerning the implementation of diversity and inclusion startegies in the workplaces. Reflect the presentation of HR-recruiter, guest speaker . Then read three (3)of the four articles and make a max 5-minute video (you can choose the Software) in which you present your justified opinions about what is the importance of diversity and inclusion at workplaces. You can take different HR - related angles and justify your opinions.
2. HR-Legal Diversity and Inclusion Assessment Tools
Plan a legal and HR-diversity and inclusion assessment tool for a chosen company and it´s department. The tool means that you make sure that the essential elements of the demands are monitored and reflected in relevant ways. Think about the grey area between the demands of Acts and good practices and try to form an ethically sustainable way to implement this.

This is an intensive course that will require students to prepare for the classes before and between the intensive class days. The teaching methods include readings, active learning, class discussions, short lectures and (critical) reflection of students' past and current experiences with work practices and organisations. These learning methods have been designed to foster the following meta competences: complex problem solving, critical thinking, people management, coordinating with others and cognitive flexibility.

The student is familiar with concepts, methods and knowledge related to all stages of the creative planning process: from customer and market insight to customer-centric concept planning and multichannel storytelling. S/he can operate as part of a creative team and knows how to plan a content concept and can produce customer-centric narrative content for digital channels for limited internal or external purposes.
Grade 3
In addition, the student understands and can evaluate concepts, methods and knowledge related to making strategic content marketing decisions for different types of business needs and market challenges. S/he can lead oneself and use various types of creative planning resources according to business/operational needs. S/he can deliver an effective content plan and produce attractive narrative content for digital channels based on customer and market insight. S/he can optimise creative planning process and various storytelling solutions successfully via multiple channels.
Grade 5
The student can critically evaluate and innovate customer-centric concepts, methods and knowledge related to developing content marketing solutions for various types of business needs and market challenges of the commissioning non-profit organisation. As part of a creative team, she/he can implement and manage creative planning processes constructively and effectively, while supporting the learning process of others. S/he can initiate and influence co-operation between different stakeholders and prioritise actions. The goal of the course is to help the student to familiarize himself/herself with different approaches to learning and learning culture in organization, as well as environment, processes and practices that enhance learning. We have three assignments, which you are expected to return by the deadlines. In order to attend the course, please return the pre-assignment on October 24th 2021 at the latest. In order to pass the course, all of the assignments have to receive passed grade (i.e., 1-5). Assignments are as follows:
Assignment 1 (pre-assignment), 20 % of the course grade, return on 24.8.2021 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the assignment is to outline your current perception of learning.
Assignment 2 (literature review), 30 % of the course grade, return on 27.9.2021 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the assignment is to write a literature review on basis of the chosen and given literature and implement the theories in student’s own organization. This assignment serves as a basis of the development assignment. Separate instructions will be given.
Assignment 3 (development assignment), 50 % of the course grade, return on 13.10.2021 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the development assignment is to study student’s own working communities. Separate instructions will be given.

The goal of the course is to help the student to analyze one’s own coaching and facilitation skills and development areas. The course offers basics of coaching as an outlook on work and as an interaction skill, and, relevance of facilitation and utilization as a tool for decision-making, co-creation and communal learning. Learning takes place in workshops, as independent studies and team work. The course includes coaching workshops, peer-coaching sessions and facilitation exercises. The course includes compulsory assessment of one’s own learning.
Choose at least one book of coaching and one book of facilitation, which you read during the course. You are expected to use these two books in assignments, too. Examples of good books are as follows:

We have three assignments, which you are expected to return by the deadlines. In order to attend the course, please return the pre-assignment on August 22nd 2022 at the latest. In order to pass the course, all of the assignments have to receive passed grade (i.e., 1-5). Assignments are as follows:
• Assignment 1 (pre-assignment), 20 % of the course grade, return on 22.8.2022 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the assignment is to present yourself to the teacher and to evaluate your current coaching and facilitation experience and know-how.
o Make a short video (2-3 mins) in which you give answers to the following questions and reflect:
1) Who are you? Where do you come from? What do you do for living?
2) What do you understand by coaching? What do you understand by facilitation?
3) What kind of experience do you have in coaching? After answering this question, read the article Who’s got the monkey. What kind of thoughts did the article evoke in you? What kind of issues mentioned in the article you can identify in your daily (working) life?
4) What kind of experience do you have in facilitation? After answering this question, read the article What do we mean by facilitation. What kind of thoughts did the article evoke in you? What kind of issues mentioned in the article you can identify in your work?
5) What are you going to learn in this course? What kind of new skills do you expect to have after the course?
o Make sure that the teacher has access to your video directly from Moodle (i.e., that your video does NOT require password etc.). Drop your video link in Moodle drop box, do not try to drop the video as it.
o Grading with scale 0-5, and the grade is 20 % of the course grade.
o Grading criteria: Clarity of your video, answers to the questions and reflective approach in questions 2-5.
• Assignment 2 (coaching), 40 % of the course grade, return on 12.9.2022 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the assignment is to coach another student in three separate sessions and analyze own coaching skills. Separate instructions will be given on August 23rd.
• Assignment 3 (facilitation), 40 % of the course grade, return on 26.9.2022 at 23:55 at the latest. The goal of the assignment is to plan a facilitated workshop and to document the plan. This assignment can be done with a pair or in groups of three persons. Separate instructions will be given on August 23rd.
Please notice that weekly meetings include smaller tasks and practices.

Passed courses are assessed on a scale of 1 to 5. The assessment criteria are presented for grades 1, 3 and 5.
• Grade 1: The student knows the relevance of coaching-based cooperation, the counselling approach and interaction in organizational development. The student recognizes his/her strengths and development areas as a coach and as a facilitator.
• Grade 3: In addition to the competencies in grade 1, the student can develop his/her skills as a coach and a facilitator, deepen and apply dialogic interaction competences by utilizing professional and research literature. S/he is able to put himself/herself in the position of the coach and the person being coached. The student experiments, tests and chooses facilitation techniques that aim to promote communal learning within the workplace.
• Grade 5: In addition to competences in grades 1 and 3, the student develops his/her skills as a coach and a facilitator according to self-set goals and applies his/her dialogic interaction and group coaching competences. S/he is able to reflect deeply on his/her actions as a coach and as a person being coached. The student can choose and justify the facilitation techniques that aim to promote communal learning in the workplace.

This is an intensive course in flipped classroom style. It requires students to prepare for the classes before and between the intensive classes and attend classes. The teaching methods include readings, active learning approaches, class discussions, short lectures and (critical) reflection of students' past and current experiences with work practices and organizations. To participate, you'll need Internet connection, headphones, camera and a computer where you can install Linux on a virtual machine (with instructions). To be able to discuss pentest techniques, you must accept course rules.

Passed courses are assessed on a scale of 1 to 5. The assessment criteria are presented for grades 1, 3 and 5.
Grade 1
The student is familiar with concepts, methods and knowledge related to all stages of the creative planning process: from customer and market insight to customer-centric concept planning and multichannel storytelling. S/he can operate as part of a creative team and knows how to plan a content concept and can produce customer-centric narrative content for digital channels for limited internal or external purposes.
Grade 3
In addition, the student understands and can evaluate concepts, methods and knowledge related to making strategic content marketing decisions for different types of business needs and market challenges. S/he can lead oneself and use various types of creative planning resources according to business/operational needs. S/he can deliver an effective content plan and produce attractive narrative content for digital channels based on customer and market insight. S/he can optimise creative planning process and various storytelling solutions successfully via multiple channels.
Grade 5
The student can critically evaluate and innovate customer-centric concepts, methods and knowledge related to developing content marketing solutions for various types of business needs and market challenges of the commissioning non-profit organisation. As part of a creative team, she/he can implement and manage creative planning processes constructively and effectively, while supporting the learning process of others. S/he can initiate and influence co-operation between different stakeholders and prioritise actions. S/he can proactively seek and analyse business critical and project specific information to continuously improve the creative planning process and to boost the success of various storytelling solutions in given contexts and on multiple digital platforms. He/she demonstrates excellent commitment to course responsibilities and assignments and is able to carry out the creative project / assignments according to the given deadlines.

The scope of the studies is 90 ECTS completed in 1.5 to 3 years as part-time of full time studies.
Studies can also progress through the use of competencies acquired in the past or competencies acquired at work during the studies.
The mode of studies is blended and the amount of independent studying, virtual studies and sessions on campus depend on the student’s individual study plan and the chosen courses. There are several types of course implementations to choose from, such as evening, intensive, partly or fully virtual. Depending on the course implementation, the learning sessions take place in evenings, weekends, virtually, and as intensive studies.

The Master's Degree Programme in Business Technologies prepares the students for work in challenging expert and managerial positions in the field of ICT and business digitalization. Studies provide students with general competences, such as interaction competency, required in all organizations and with business specific skills and competencies, depending on the chosen specialization area by the student.
Compulsory studies focus on research and development skills as well as competences needed in developing organizations and leading change. Studies enhance students’ abilities in analytical and critical thinking and problem solving. Specialization studies focus on digital technologies and business related skills and competencies. Studies enhance the students’ ability to apply current research knowledge in their professional field.
In the beginning of studies, students choose their specialization, on the basis of individual career goals and development needs. The specialization studies together with thesis account for the majority of the Master's studies.
The students represent various nationalities and work in organisations operating in global settings, which allows learning to take place in multicultural teams. The learning assignments mirror professional’s work in a global setting. The students can also take part in an exchange program with selected partner universities of Haaga-Helia UAS.
The courses include industry and business visitors and address the challenges of organizations and business. In addition, the thesis is a development project undertaken within an organization.
The programme encourages students to study and work concurrently, which gives the students the opportunity to integrate real-life projects in studies. This exchange between work and study enhances the skills and competencies the students need to advance professionally.
