The course is designed to increase student’s understanding of the Industry 4.0, emphasizing automation and data exchange in manufacturing processes as well as Circular Economy, emphasizing sustainability and optimization of resource use, concepts. Upon successful completion of the course, students shall be able to skillfully identify the application of Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy thinking in the current industrial landscape. Students shall be able to critically evaluate the influence of the concepts on business models and business ethics/policies. Students shall be able to find relevant information to identify the application of the main concepts in selected industrial sectors.
