Assignment 1: Peer teaching of theories 25% Student in groups of 2-3 choose a theory of leadership to study, learn and teach others. Teaching sessions should include 3 main parts: presentation of the theory with examples from life, a workshop or group discussion and finally, a short quiz to test the learning. Sessions are peer assessed. Assignment 2: Self-analysis as a team player and a leader 25% Please write an analysis of yourself as a team leader in 700-1000 (max) words in an essay format! Essay should answer at least the following questions: 1. Who are you as a team player? How would you evaluate (rate 1-5 and explain why) your contribution to team work in general? What kinds of leadership styles work best on you and what styles bring the worst in you? 2. Who are you as a leader? Where do yo see yourself in 5 levels of leadership? What kinds of leader behaviours do you identify in yourself (examples)? How would others describe you? 3. What are your strengths and weaknesses for effective leadership? What skills would you like to develop to become an effective leader? Why? How? Leadership Analysis Assignment 3 (Pair) 25% An example for a qualitative study (data collection through observation) is observing leader behaviours in a movie. In this type of a study, students in pairs choose leader characters from a suitable movie within the leadership context. They observe (watch) to identify and compare leadership styles as well as results. Pairs present their findings to the class.
