Upon successful completion of the course, the student

- understands the concepts of ICT management and governance best practices
- knows how the best practices improve processes and operational efficiency
- can select and apply a best practice in a bimodal development environment

Depending on the implementation, learning takes place in contact lessons, independent studies, teamwork and potentially online studies. The course includes the assessment of one’s own learning.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
If students have acquired the required competence in previous work tasks, recreational activities or another course, they can show their competence via a demonstration. The demonstration must be agreed upon with the course teacher. Look at "Instructions to students (master)" The student prepares a report and presentation about an ICT management best practice case to which s/he has made a substantial contribution.

After this course, students will have a good understanding of different frameworks and methods that are largely used in companies. The course will feature visiting speakers from other organisations who will share their methods and practices when developing and maintaining ICT systems. It is recommended that students have previous experience in ICT service management.

This course replaces the previous curriculum’s course, ICT Management Best Practices ICT4HM102.

This course unit is part of the master's degree's curriculum. Completion of the course requires master's study entitlement.

It is recommended to have prior experience in ICT systems and their development/maintenance.

When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.
