Execution methods
The learning outcomes can be achieved as follows:
a. participation to three online sessions AND
b. conducting a strategic business development project - either individually or as a team member
OR
c. participation to an external strategic business development project and reflection of one's own learning based on the course material and the learning objectives
d. through Recognizing prior learning (RPL) and educationalization
Recognizing prior learning: If the student has obtained the skills and knowledge matching the learning goals of the course elsewhere, for example at work, s/he can show the knowledge and skills through a demonstration. Intro
Welcome to the "Strategic Business Development" course! In this course, you will be able to both deepen your strategic thinking and apply it either to a company assignment or to a case of your choice. This course will offer you a hands-on learning experience to apply the Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Agile methods for a real/new strategic business development project/case. Furthermore, the business development project will offer you a unique learning opportunity in applying the latest dynamic strategic management frameworks and tools.
Assessment criteria
Assessment criteria - grade 1
The student:
• has limited understanding of strategic business development principles and practices
• has limited understanding of how to apply Design, Lean, Agile and Sustainability frameworks for a business development project
• has limited understanding of how to apply strategy and strategic management frameworks for a business development project
Assessment criteria - grade 3
The student:
• demonstrates good knowledge of the strategic business development principles and practices
• applies well Design, Lean, Agile and Sustainability frameworks for a business development project
• applies well strategy and strategic management frameworks for a business development project
Assessment criteria - grade 5
The student
• demonstrates both broad and deep knowledge of strategic business development principles and practices
