Learning objectives
After completion of this course, you should be able to identify which costs may be classified as Variable Costs & which ones classify as Fixed Cost and how all these costs are calculated and the element to be included.
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to show the sources of needed finances to run your business. In addition, the course helps you to identify different techniques and tools for revenue stream and profitability calculation and analysis.
Thus, upon completion of this course, you should be able to make simplified sales forecast. Finally, participants are expected to get familiar and to understand the composite of annual balance sheet and to make simple result analysis to assess profitability of any business.

This course gives an introduction on the practicalities of the financial considerations while planning or implementing a business. The goal is to help you to navigate through the components of needed investment and needed calculation for good business planning and implementation.

The course is suitable for everyone interested in the practicalities of starting entrepreneurial venture either in Finland or abroad.
Assessment criteria
Assessment criteria - grade 1
When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.
