Learning objectives
After completion of the course:
• the student has understanding of the major trends in SCM and
• the student is able to practice with some related applications in Labs
• the student learns to use in practice some methods and applications used regularly in companies
Contents
Major trends around SCM such as
o BlockChain enabled capabilities such as various types of business networks, traceability, virtual payments
o IoT enabled capabilities such as sensors and actuators for tracking goods
o AI and automation such as self-learning decision making
o data analyses
o potentially additional topics
Do you want to be a front-runner in new trends of SCM? The aim of this course is to outline some essential trends in supply chain management. Due to the nature of the course, the contents may vary from year to year. Current trends will be approach by hand-on methods e.g. lab work and possible company visits.

When the implementation type of the course is contact, online or blended it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25%, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50%, the course is failed.
