Learning objectives
After completing this course the student:
-Knows how to select and use the various phone video editing apps on the market.
-Knows how to edit video with professional looking results.
-Knows how to write a video script and record a voice track.
-Knows how to add music and graphics to a produced video.
-Knows what to do to get the best results when recording video with a phone either indoors or outside.
Contents
The course is designed to teach students how to get the most out of their smartphones when it comes to making videos. This starts with basics such as locating the video camera lens on your phone, and progressing to the recording of studio quality voice tracks with phone's own built-in microphone. Only things required for this course is a smartphone with plenty of free memory, alsö a phone with decent battery life and most importantly a student with a strong desire to make killer videos.

Lectures, homework assignments and a final project.

This course is open to anyone with a smartphone.
Assessment criteria
Assessment criteria - grade 1
Student can record video using thier smartphone and the file can be successfully played back on said device.
Assessment criteria - grade 3
Student can produce a video story with their smart phone that includes video that is cleanly edited and edited interviews that complement the story.
Assessment criteria - grade 5
Student is able to create a multi-layered, creative video story that includes everything discussed in the course. This includes edited sequenced video, edited interviews, voice track, graphics and music
