NOTE: From Autumn 2023 this course will be scheduled to start from the semester start (not period 2) and defined as a 16-week course (can still be done in shorter time)
This is the second course of the renewed business intelligence course setup.
It is setup as a 8 - 12 week non-stop e-learning approach with the strong recommendation to utilize Zoom sessions with teacher/customer as part of submitted iterations.
The two BI-courses build on a Business Intelligence Framework, stressing the importance of creating business value, valuing the strategy alignment, imposing the importance of BI-maturity understanding and suggests the need for an agile approach to BI-development life cycles.
In this second course the student runs a project in which a BI-solution based on user stories and agile development principles are created.
The architecture utilized is Power BI Desktop - Power BI Pro (cloud) - SharePoint.
Power BI pro license will be provided by Haaga-Helia.
Students that have passed the BI-basic has precedence but teacher can accept also students without the basic course - send a request with you intents and interest to the teacher. You can be provided with learning materials and even then (if interested) RPL the basic course before or after the BI Dev project is done. Teacher will contact by email students enrolled without basic course - to agree on steps to take or removal from enrollment.
The amount of students accepted to one implementaton is restricted by the amount of HH Power BI pro licenses available (25)
