After completing the course, the student:

Innovative aerial services will take a look at the trends and potential developments mainly in the short haul electric flying (e.g. drones) as part of the logistics ecosystem. We approach the themes from strategic, operational, economic, legal and digital point of view.

The implementation will concentrate on the topics like:

Introduction to the Innovative Aerial Services ecosystem incl. Air Services and Innovative Air Mobility
The global market for Innovative Aerial Services solutions
The integration of Innovative Aerial Services with the aviation and logistics ecosystem

In this course we´ll study the aviation in cities as a part of the logistics chain. The focus is on so called last (and first) mile with a look at cargo and passenger applications. Drone industry is changing rapidly alongside the evolving electric flying. The possibilities of this relatively new area in aviation are huge but there are several challenges as well. In this study module we`ll study both of these elements.

This course unit is part of the master's degree's curriculum. Completion of the course requires master's study entitlement.

When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.

The student is aware about the topics of the implementation. The student is able to discuss/write about the presented topics. When applicable, the student participates the course assignments.
