Learning objectives
1 The student learns the major lines of history in strategic management.
2 The student's strategic thinking improves as they familiarize themselves with contemporary strategic tools and their purposes.
3 The student learns to understand theoretical discussions about growth strategies and can apply these theories to practical analysis.
4 The student understands how the strategic management of a public organization and a non-profit organization differs from the strategic management of a business.
Contents
The content may vary somewhat depending on the implementation. However, in all implementations, the content is specifically aimed at the aforementioned learning objectives.

This course unit is part of the master's degree's curriculum. Completion of the course requires master's study entitlement.
Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study
Depending on the implementation, the course may include classroom instruction, independent study, small group work, and online learning. Implementations may also involve guest lectures, company visits, and/or business projects.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If a student has acquired the required skills, for example, through previous work experience, hobbies, or another course, they can demonstrate their competence through assessment and progress more quickly in their studies.
Assessment criteria - grade 1
When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.
The student demonstrates satisfactory competence in relation to the course learning objectives. The student identifies some of the theories, perspectives and concepts presented in the course. The student weakly identifies their implications for practice.
Assessment criteria - grade 3
The student demonstrates good competence in relation to the course learning objectives. The student has good command of the theories, perspectives and concepts presented in the course. The student is able to analyze their implications for practice.
Assessment criteria - grade 5
The student demonstrates excellent competence in relation to the course learning objectives. The student profoundly masters theories, perspectives and concepts presented in the course. The student critically and thoroughly applies the concepts and theories learned in the course to analyze and create solutions for practical work situations.

Other materials are selected based on the implementation. Materials may include current articles, business cases, literature, and other resources.
