No binding connections to other courses but not suitable for 1st year students. The course is only offered to Haaga-Helia degree students of hospitality management. The students for the competition team will be selected by the coaches.
Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study
The learning goals of this course can be reached by completing all following parts:
a. Coaching sessions, company visits and related assignments
b. Participation in a national or international competition
c. Sharing experiences and learning outcomes
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.
To be able to pass the course and earn credits, the student needs to show excitement, commitment, and good team-spirit. The student participates in min. 1 competition. The students also commit to represent Haaga-Helia in professional manner.
