Learning objectives

All new students take a mathematics placement test at the beginning of their studies.
The purpose of the test is to ensure that students have the necessary foundational skills for the common courses. Based on the results, you may be directed to preparatory mathematics studies.

The placement test is taken independently in the Moodle environment according to the given schedule. The test includes tasks in the following areas: basic percentage calculations, applied percentage problems, and equations.

If you have dyslexia or any other factor that may affect your ability to complete the test, please contact the responsible teacher in advance.

After completing the placement test in Moodle, you will see your results immediately upon submission.
Pass results will be recorded in the study register within three weeks after the test deadline.

The Basics of Financial Management course is typically scheduled for the second semester. Preparatory mathematics studies must be completed before taking the Basics of Financial Management course.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The maximum score for the mathematics placement test is 10 points.

If you score 4–10 points, the test is considered passed.
If you score 0–3 points, the test is considered failed. In that case, you must take at least the course
