Learning objectives

You know key leadership theories and models and are able to analyze situations through them. You can assess your own leadership and pinpoint areas needing development. You will develop your coaching skills by acting as a coach and a coachee during the course. You have gained an understanding of challenging workplace situations through discussions and stories.

If you already meet the learning objectives of this course, you can demonstrate your knowledge. You can do this by taking the DEMO implementation, which you need to sign up for through PEPPI.

For your demonstration, you need to prepare a recorded presentation. The video should include the key concepts of coaching and leadership. In the video, you will need to combine theory and practice. Detailed instructions can be found on Moodle for the DEMO implementation.

Assessment criteria - grade 1

When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.

You demonstrate a basic understanding of key leadership theories and models. You have the ability to identify areas that need improvement in your personal leadership style. You have minimal engagement with the learning materials.

Assessment criteria - grade 3

You demonstrate a good understanding of key leadership theories and models, and you can apply them to simple situations. You show the ability to self-assess and identify areas for improvement in your personal leadership style. You engage with the learning materials and use them to achieve the course objectives.

Assessment criteria - grade 5

You demonstrate a deep understanding of key leadership theories and models. You are able to apply them to complex, nuanced real-world or hypothetical situations in an insightful way. You demonstrate thorough and insightful self-assessment of your personal leadership style. You show deep and extensive engagement with the learning materials.
