Learning objectives

Working in multidisciplinary groups students innovate and develop solutions to company's challenges in circular economy. The goal is to develop a sustainable future and a climate-positive business.

Students use life centered thinking, storytelling and circular economy tools and methods as a part of an innovation process. By innovating a better future and meaningful life can have an impact on how the future will be like.

Business networks and ecosystems are also taken into account in innovation, as the most significant innovations and solutions are made in cooperation between many different actors in the new kind of networks.

Students from different backgrounds and with different skills are expected to attend the course. Depending on previous knowledge / experience, the tasks of the course may vary somewhat from student to student.

Assessment criteria - grade 1

Working in multidisciplinary groups is able to innovate, develop and find solutions to company's challenges in circular economy
Is able to make use of storytelling and circular economy tools and methods as a part of an innovation process

Assessment criteria - grade 3

Working in multidisciplinary groups is able to innovate, develop and find solutions to company's challenges in circular economy
Is able to make use of storytelling and circular economy tools and methods as a part of an innovation process
Is able to examine innovations taking into account circular economy

Assessment criteria - grade 5

Working in multidisciplinary groups is able to innovate, develop and find solutions to company's challenges in circular economy
Is able to make use of storytelling and circular economy tools and methods as a part of an innovation process
Is able to examine innovations taking into account circular economy and company's productivity

Previous course name: Hackathon Camp - Innovate circular economy

When the implementation type of the course is contact, online or blended it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25%, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50%, the course is failed.
