Learning objectives

Objectives of the course: After successful completion the student is able to

- make use of general vocabulary

- express themself orally and in writing

- understand elementary texts and simple speech

- use the most central structures of Swedish

- assess and develop their language learning skills

- take part of the course Svenska för arbetslivet

Starting level and linkage with other courses

To be able to successfully participate in this course, student needs to know the following knowledge, skills and tools:

The course is intended for students who have not passed the placement test in Swedish. The course prepares the student for the Key Competence course Svenska för arbetslivet.

The starting level of the course is A2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Opintojaksojen CONTACT, ONLINE ja BLENDED -toteutuksilla edellytämme läsnäoloa lukujärjestykseen merkityillä opetuskerroilla. Jos olet poissa opetuskerroilta yli 25% arvosanasi laskee yhdellä numerolla. Jos olet poissa opetuskerroilta yli 50%, opintojakso hylätään.

Grading criteria

To receive the grade ”pass” the student demonstrates skills equivalent of the level A2-B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The student knows the basic vocabulary and structures of Swedish and is able to be understood in the most common communication situation.

The student has completed the mandatory assignments and exams required on the course.
