Osaamistavoitteet
In Each One Teach One (also known as Tandem), the students teach each other their languages and culture in pairs. The course brings together students from various cultural and language backgrounds.
Students develop their language skills in the target language starting from their own level. They get to know a person from a different country and learn about the culture of that area.
Sisältö
First students set up a meeting, get to know each other, and plan the course based on their interests and language level.
It’s recommended to choose at least 5 of these topics:
Food, culinary culture
Free time, hobbies
Home, hometown and surroundings
Traditions, celebrating different holidays
Studies, work
Traveling
Visiting a place of interest together
Topic of own choice

Each student acts both as a teacher and a learner. The pairs are encouraged to meet in different settings and engage in various activities during the course. The students develop their skills in a given language and learn about other cultures.
The students
- meet the teacher(s) once online in the beginning of the course
- plan and schedule their meetings independently
- meet at least 6 times (1 - 2 hours at a time)
- individually write a memo of each meeting and the learning process according to instructions.
The course has no contact lessons.

The course is passed if
Students have met at least 6 times, 1-2 hours at a time
Student has documented the meetings and reflected on his/her learning process in the memos according to instructions.
